HEATED SEATS
Retrofit Heated Seat Installation
From a single seat retrofit to a full set fitted as part of a complete re-trim, Alpha handles heated seat installation for virtually any vehicle in West Yorkshire.

Retro Fitting Heated Car Seats
Heated seats are one of those upgrades you wonder how you lived without. Nothing beats the luxury of cosy heated seats on those cold winter mornings.
Once your car has them, you’ll never want to go back to a cold leather seat on a December morning again. We retrofit heated seat elements into virtually any vehicle, from modern performance cars that inexplicably left the factory without them to classic and vintage vehicles where the idea of a warm seat is entirely anachronistic but thoroughly welcome.
We’ve been fitting heated seats across West Yorkshire and beyond for many years. The work is clean, professionally integrated and built to last. If you’re already having us re-trim your interior, we can install the elements before the new leather or Alcantara goes on, which means zero visible evidence that they were ever added. If you’re not having a full re-trim, we can still install heated seats in most cases with minimal disruption to the existing interior — whether you have a cloth or leather interior, and fitted either individually or as a pair.
How It Works
The installation process involves fitting carbon fibre heating elements to the base and lower back of the seat cushions. These elements are thin, flexible and designed specifically for automotive seats. They heat evenly across the surface without creating any noticeable texture difference through the seat material, and without altering the shape or look of your seats.
We connect the elements to individual controls with two temperature settings for each seat, which we position tidily within the interior — typically installed onto the dash or centre console. In many modern vehicles this can be integrated with existing switch blanks or placed in an unobtrusive location. For classic cars and custom builds we can fabricate a switch housing that matches the interior aesthetic. The end result should look factory-fitted, not like an afterthought.
We use quality components throughout. The temperature control switches are reliable, the wiring is properly routed and protected, and the connections are made to a professional standard. This isn’t a job where cutting corners is acceptable, because a heating element that fails or causes issues will mean stripping the seat open again.
Which Vehicles Are Suitable?
Almost any vehicle with fabric or leather seats is a candidate for heated seat installation. We regularly fit them into sports cars, prestige vehicles, 4x4s and classic cars. Convertibles particularly benefit, since the inability to trap heat in an open-topped car makes the seat warmth noticeably more valuable.
Some vehicles are more straightforward than others. Cars with memory foam seats or complex multi-layer seat construction require more care during installation. We’ll assess your specific vehicle before confirming the approach. In some cases where a seat is particularly unusual in construction, we’ll discuss the options with you so you understand exactly what’s involved before any work begins.
Motorcycles and other two-wheeled vehicles are not suitable for this service. Heated grips are a different matter entirely and we can point you in the right direction for those.
Fitting Heated Seats During a Retrim
If you’re already bringing your vehicle to us for a re-trim, adding heated seats at the same time is straightforward and cost-effective. We install the heating elements during the trimming process, before the outer material goes on, a cleaner and less disruptive approach than retrofitting into a finished seat.
Many of our customers add this to their re-trim project after we mention it during the initial consultation. Once they hear it’s a simple addition at that stage, the decision tends to be easy. It’s considerably more involved to add them later.
Getting a Quote
Heated seat installation is more cost-effective than you might think, with prices starting from £280 per seat or £495 per pair.
That said, every vehicle and every project is different, and the cost can vary considerably depending on the scope of work involved. We’d rather have a proper conversation about your specific vehicle than have you assume the starting price applies. Call us on 01484 603 000 or get in touch via the contact page and we’ll give you a clear, accurate price with no surprises.

Heated seat installation varies considerably in complexity
depending on your vehicle and whether it’s being fitted
alongside other work. A straightforward retrofit into an
existing interior is a relatively quick job. Having elements
installed as part of a full re-trim is the most seamless
approach and often the most cost-effective.
